The Driving Test - After The Test

Passing your Practical Driving Test is a tremendous thrill, and the end to your reliance on friends and family for private transport.

  Independent at last!

However, may we offer a few words of caution?

Passing the Practical Driving Test is only the beginning!

You have the knowledge, but not the experience to drive in some of the more challenging situations you will encounter.  The vulnerability of the novice driver is reflected in insurance premiums.

When driving alone for the first time, you suddenly realise there is no calming influence beside you, and nobody to answer the question “what should I do now?”

At drivewell  we recommend that for the first few months you should drive WITHOUT passengers, on familiar routes to gain real confidence and experience.

Passengers cause distraction, and insurers tell us you are TWICE as likely to have an accident with one passenger and FIVE times as likely with two.  If you want to know the reason, give us a call!!!
